Hello! I'm very happy to be working with Counseling Partners of Northern Colorado. I graduated in 2017 from the University of Wyoming with my Masters in Counseling with a concentration in Community Mental Health Counseling and received my bachelors from the University of Northern Colorado in 2015 in Human Services with an emphasis in Psychiatric Rehabilitation and a minor in Psychology. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy playing board games, making art, and traveling! I’m originally from southern Colorado so I enjoy my time in the mountains and finding the best green chili around town.
My personal style of counseling is collaborative, working with clients to meet realistic and achievable goals at an individual pace. I feel as though counseling is a partnership in which both client and counselor have active roles. I work from a person centered perspective allowing clients to develop their own beliefs and sense of self. I believe that counseling is not a “one size fits all” but instead, is a unique experience for every person. Therefore, I draw techniques from several different theories depending on the client’s needs. I enjoy using art and other forms of creative expression in my work with clients. I wish to integrate your interests and passions into the counseling relationship to make the counseling process interactive and meaningful for you. My hope is that at the end of our counseling relationship, you will have gained a deeper sense of self and can work towards setting and achieving your goals.
Currently, I work closely with adolescents (ages 9-20) however am taking new clients of all ages who desire a counselor to help them with:
Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD/ADD)
Gender Related Concerns
I look forward to meeting with you and getting started! –Megan Brice M.S.
